Greeting the sunrise in the early morning lake mist is a Anahinga. He will perch for long periods of time drying his wings as he does not have an oily base to them and diving when wet will hinder his ability to fly out of the lake water. This is a natural position to find Anahingas in...my good fortune was to capture this interesting water bird in the sunrise mist in the early morning. Beautiful wall art of the natural beauty of nature.
