Dark Side Of The Dune Fine Art Photography by Barbara Chichester. Photography of one of the most unique and beautiful places in North America. Approximately 200,000 square miles of gorgeous crystal white and shimmering soft sandy dunes...so soft and cool to walk on in bare feet. In the area of White Sands National Monument, live African Gazelles or Oryx as part of the wildlife family which are common to this area. The sky is a light blue in this image as it was captured in the latter part of the day where the reflection of the low sun on the white dunes saturated the sky. The quartz crystals reflect in the sunlight and give it a shimmering glow. A must see on your bucket list! Check out the rest of my Desert southwest art and thanks for your visit!
