"Illumination" Fine Art Photography by Barbara Chichester. The image is of Basilica of San Albino, formerly known as San Albino Church of Mesilla, is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Las Cruces and located in Mesilla, New Mexico. It has the distinction of being established in Mexico, and is now located in the United States. The first church on the site was built in 1852; the current structure was built in 1906. It seemed appropriate that the beam of light emerging from the clouds situated itself as a back drop for the Basilica as it is a place of worship...hence the title of this piece... Illumination.
Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, resulting in interesting contemplation and conversation, is my Art style.
As I become immersed in each piece of art I create, art takes on a life of it's own in the process. I love what I do and am happy and privileged to share it with you.
Additionally, I want to share with you that art is subjective, it is very personal... there are no rights and wrongs to it, it is a simply matter of preference, taste and personal interests.
