Zia Abstract is an original southwest art design created by New Mexico Artist Barbara Chichester, 2018. The piece depicts the Native American symbol of the Zia. The Zia are an indigenous tribe centered at Zia Pueblo, an Indian reservation in the U.S. state of New Mexico. The Zia are known for their pottery and use of the sun symbol.
Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary, resulting in interesting contemplation and conversation, is my Art style.
As I become immersed in each piece of art I create, art takes on a life of it's own in the process. I love what I do and am happy and privileged to share it with you.
Additionally, I want to share with you that art is subjective, it is very personal... there are no rights and wrongs to it, it is a simply matter of preference, taste and personal interests. I hope you will enjoy my style of art as it is meant to cause contemplation, interesting conversation and hopefully provide you with pleasure in viewing it.
